Now for all of you that are breathing and living, you know that we have witnessed the first African American President to come into office and I am blessed to have seen it. But today is not about anything political or about which policy you should be paying attention to for x, y, or z.

Today is about the fact that it is our President's birthday! President Obama has been there for us and has radically changed the way our government operates. He has always shown his love for every race, gender, religion, and creed. So, why not just support him on his special day!

Its not everyday that we consciously think about the leadership that allows us to live in a free country so if you are a proud American and supporter of our President, make sure to leave him a Happy Birthday below!

He probably had to work today and isn't getting to enjoy this day like many of us have the chance to on our special day but I am sure to cares about your undying support.

Raven-Symone, America's sweetheart in the popular 80's Cosby's show shook us all when she played 3-year old Olivia. Since then, Raven has played multiple roles with her Cheetah Girls debut in the 90's and her That's So Raven airing also in the 90's.

After seeing the budding actress grow up into a beautiful woman, we don't usually get to hear much about what has been going on in Raven's life and sometimes forget that she is still around. Yet, just Friday, Raven shook us again with news that she is a lesbian.

Raven-Symone just shared with her Twitter followers that she can get married. The story first surfaced last year when Raven was identified as living with an openly gay America's Next Top Model contestant. Her comment on the situation then was, ""My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I'm datings to know. I'm not one for a public display of my life."

Yet, now Raven has finally announced to the world in her own words,

I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you."

So the cat's out of the bag! What can you say? Raven is America's sweetheart. She is going to live her life the way that she wants to live it regardless of who likes it or not. I think she is brave in her statement and I know this won't be easy for her but she openly admitted it anyway.

Make sure that you never lose sight of what it is to just be yourself and shine even when you are not what everyone expects you to be. Stay true to you and you will go farther than the eyes can see.

Pure Leverage offers you a newly minted blog with a basic setup to help you promote Pure Leverage, an auto responder that is truly much better than your ConstantContact or MailChimp, and that's it.

In my professional opinion, if you want to compare Pure Leverage and Empower Network, you have to have a purpose behind what you want from either platform. Immediate questions in making a decision as to which is the better fit for you usually surface when you start thinking about:

• Am I looking to build a viable income from my blogging? -Choose Empower
• Am I looking to gain a truly awesome auto responder? -Choose Pure Leverage
• Am I looking to get training on how to make money for my current business? -Empower wins again!

And don't think I am being biased because I am not an Empower Network member, I actually own an autoresponder set up with Pure Leverage but I am here to give you the facts. Take it or leave it.

Hmm... I Think I'll Do Empower Network

For those of you that know me, you know that this usually wouldn't happen but..

Empower Network- that affiliate marketing company that is not liked by Facebook. (I'm totally serious.) There are hundreds of thousands of affiliate marketers with the company that poorly represent the company.

But what's new??? Let's be honest with ourselves. If you are familiar with the industry you know that everything is called a scam or a pyramid scheme the minute someone doesn't make any money with it. So, if that's the case every single business is a scam and you shouldn't join a single one.

If that is your mindset, then you are in a severe state of negative thinking and that my friend can be detrimental to your health. Reverse your mindset and get ready for the biggest transformation of your life.

For the last six months, I've seen people in Empower doing an awesome job of pissing off my friends, my team, and myself. They would post lots of thin air and attach their links. So, as a new internet marketer, I was annoyed and didn't want anything to do with them.

So, what makes me want to look deeper? Keep reading...

So, after I got the thought that the marketers were a bunch of annoyances-- just being brutally honest-- I started marketing with more entrepreneurs and noticed something.

I noticed that I started making friends and GREAT friends at that with Empower Network members that provided exceptional value and the best darn attitudes I could ask for and then I was shocked at how much of a total amateur I was to judge anyone else's way to freedom.

It was unintentional but that's what I did. So, I own it 100%. I was wrong. But in my looking back at it, I learned something else. I learned that no matter what company I decide to join whether I choose to do Empower Network or Wake Up Now or whatever else, I have a million people that I can share my quality and create an awesome team of supporters.

So if you want to do Empower Network, go for it. If you want to do something else, just do it. It doesn't really matter THAT much.

Now have you ever been in this situation where you are in an opportunity that doesn't allow you to maximize your potential as a marketer and relationship builder?

Yes, it is an MLM company. It was the first and only MLM that I was in so I am qualified to make this review.

5LINX was founded in 2001, by Jeb Tyler (Executive Vice President of Marketing), Craig Jerabeck (President and CEO), and Jason Guck (Executive Vice President of Sales). 5LINX follows a multilevel marketing model that allows its representatives to earn an income through the distribution of its telecommunication-based products and services.

5LINX has its top distributors that receive rankings in the company as DPSVP, PSVP, and SVP where these distributors have successfully recruited and built their downlines to reciprocate the trainings.

In my professional opinion, 5LINX is a great opportunity to earn quick profits. Although the residential sales do not yield immediate profit, commercial sale of their energy can yield as much as $4,000/month of residual income as long as the company keeps the 5LINX energy service.

Therefore, there is no limit on how much a particular representative may earn with 5LINX based on their personal ability to close merchant deals. Realistically, a person without any former training in merchant sales and relationship building will not be able to properly close an energy deal on their own but the commission is available.

The best way for a distributor to earn income through 5LINX is to base their income potential around the commercial sales while gathering the rapport and trust of their downlines.

All in all, 5LINX is a great company if you are able to travel and host home meetings frequently and have an income prior to beginning with the company. 5LINX does allow you to make considerable income if you are able to position yourself correctly given professional training resources not offered by the company.

In my time with the company, I've noticed that many people struggle to pass the point of ND which is the ranking you earn before reaching SVP in the company. If you want to make money, you don't need to be an SVP and you are also susceptible to lose your ranking if your downline cannot perform so you need to be aware of how to maximize your income using the commercial deals.

Why MLM Leaves a Nasty Taste In Their Mouths

Don't worry. I'm not going to bash the industry. That's not the intent.

So MLM is the only industry where you have people work tirelessly day and night and not earn a single dollar. So would it be fair to call it a scam? No, I don't think so.

The MLM industry or the multi-level marketing industry really takes the masses of people that are not happy with their current situation of discontent and gives people hope. It makes millions of people wealthier in their mindsets and builds a sense of regard for entrepreneurship. I like those two aspects of the industry.

However....

The MLM industry leaves a superbly sour and distasteful feeling to millions of individuals because there is no real guarantee that you can make money from any action that you have taken. It is the industry where the risk-takers thrive and the safety-blanketed people tend to fail.

Those that tend to do relatively well are well-trained with mentors whom dedicate time and resources. Those that do well don't usually spend thousands of dollars investing in the wrong trainings or spend their time doing the wrong activities on a daily basis.

So it would be fair to say that most people fail because they don't know what to do.
